Design Brief: Wild Encounters Campaign
Project Overview:
The Pittsburgh Zoo & Aquarium is launching a visually compelling 3-page magazine campaign titled “Wild Encounters” to inspire visitors to experience the wonder of wildlife up close. The campaign showcases a variety of animals in their natural habitats, emphasizing immersive, educational encounters that connect people with nature.
Objectives:
The primary goal is to increase awareness and drive attendance by highlighting the unique, hands-on experiences available at the Zoo and Aquarium. The campaign should communicate excitement, accessibility, and conservation efforts in a way that appeals to families, educators, and wildlife enthusiasts.
Target Audience:
Families with children, school groups, tourists, and local residents interested in nature, wildlife, and educational outings.
Key Message:
“GET CLOSER THAN EVER TO THE WONDERS OF THE WILD.” – encouraging a personal, interactive experience with animals ranging from playful penguins to majestic lions and sharks.
Design Requirements:
The layout must balance striking animal imagery with bold, clear typography. The color palette should reflect natural greens and earth tones to evoke a sense of wilderness and environmental care. Branding must align with the Pittsburgh Zoo & Aquarium’s guidelines, including logo placement and contact information.
